#001: All Along the Watchtower

Here on Substack, writers and journalists are free as a bird to say and do whatever we want, (except post nude photos of Hilary Clinton.)

Substack really is a great platform, and it has expanded and enhanced the role of the indie journalist into new realms of possibilities. Keeping with that new tradition, I have decided to try out a weekly newsletter, a round of this week’s news. Actually, it’s last week’s news, which technically is old news, but this is no time for quibbling over details. Onward!

TOP TEN STORIES OF THIS WEEK (OR LAST WEEK)

#1 A Complete Unknown

I hope you like my catchy newsletter title, All Along The Watchtower, and it dovetails nicely with the new Bob Dylan biopic that is in the theatres. I shelled out way too much money on overpriced popcorn and snacks, but I got a good seat among the ageing hippies and blue haired millennials, most of whom have no idea who Bob Dylan was and what his cultural significance was in the 1960’s, but hey they went anyway, so I’ll give them that.

The film struggled to portray Dylan as a cool rockstar that teenage girls swooned over. A guy singing folk songs with a harmonica isn’t really all that sexy, no matter how eloquent his lyrics may have been. The film also glossed over the fact that Dylan was really an asshole much of time.

His brief fling with Joan Baez, the “Queen of Folk” was precluded by Baez hearing Dylan perform his song “With God on Our Side.” Baez later said, “I never thought anything so powerful could come out of that little toad.”

Despite his career of singing songs about peace, love and social injustice, and winning a Nobel Prize for Peace, he was a Zionist, and unequivocally supported Israel’s eternal victimhood and hypocritical ongoing genocide of Palestinians.

It was still a good, nostalgic flick on its own terms, and I recommend you go see it.

#2 Israel’s Ongoing Genocide of Palestinians

And that fits neatly into the next top ten story. As of this week, the situation in Gaza remains dire, with Israel’s ongoing military campaign resulting in significant loss of life and widespread destruction. To celebrate the new year, on January 1, 2025, Israel killed 28 Palestinians in Gaza, marking a continuation of the intense bombardment targeting homes and streets in the region.

The death toll hit 45,700, after Israel killed 59 more Palestinians on January 3. An additional 108,856 others have been injured in the ongoing massacre, and this does not included the tens of thousands of civilians buried under the rubble. The Lancet report last year estimated 186,000 dead under the rubble, but this figure may be a conservative estimate.

Jonathan Dumont, head of Emergency Communications at the UN World Food Program, said, “The devastation is absolutely staggering. There’s no electricity or running water or sewage (treatment). Almost everyone has lost their home. A lot of people are living in tents. We have hot meals, distributions. … People come, and they get really desperate. You can see it in their faces and you can see it in their eyes.”

#3 Russian Ukraine War

Today is day #1047 in the Special Military Operation, but it is not very special anymore. It was supposed to take only a couple weeks to mop up the Nazis, and send Zelensky back to dance class.

The total casualties and wounded from the war is now over 1 million, making it one of the most deadly wars in modern history. The collective yawn from the 5D Chess Club is duly noted. There is virtually zero recognition from the 5DCC that people are getting killed in spades, supposedly because multipolar bliss is much more important than the lives of human beings.

The Ukrainian military is now actively inside Russia. The Ukrainian military has launched a new offensive in the Kursk region of Russia, as Moscow’s forces continue to push deep inside eastern Ukraine.

From an Al Jazeera report:

The Russian Ministry of Defence confirmed in a statement on Sunday that Ukrainian forces launched new attacks amid their incursion into Russia that began with a surprise assault in August.

Andriy Kovalenko, a senior official with Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, appeared to confirm the operation in a Telegram post.

“In the Kursk region the Russians are deeply concerned. They were attacked on multiple fronts, which came as a surprise to them,” he said.

Andriy Yermak, the head of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s office, suggested the attack had been successful.

“Kursk region, good news, Russia is getting what it deserves,” he wrote on Sunday.

Ukrainian officials informed the UN Security Council that Russia integrated five North Korean brigades, each with 2,000 to 3,000 soldiers, into its armed forces. According to reports from the US Department of Defense, about 10,000 North Korean soldiers arrived in the border region of Kursk by the end of October 2024.

South Korean intelligence has alleged that North Korean soldiers deployed in Russia will receive a monthly salary of around $2,000. That means total costs for the year will be $200 million. Ahn Chang Il, a former lieutenant in the North Korean army, claimed that North Korean soldiers deployed to Russia viewed their participation in the Ukraine conflict as an opportunity for social advancement and financial improvement for their families. The North Korean government promised incentives such as joining the Workers' Party of Korea, necessary for advancement in North Korea.

#4 Planes Falling From the Sky

• Jeju Air Flight 2216: On December 29, 2024, a Jeju Air Boeing 737 aircraft crashed while landing at Muan International Airport in South Korea, resulting in 179 fatalities and two survivors.

• Alaska Airlines Accident: On January 5, 2024, an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 9 experienced a door plug blowing off in flight, leading to a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Emergency Airworthiness Directive (EAD) grounding of the specific model with door plugs installed on January 6, 2024.

• On Christmas Day 2024, an Azerbaijan Airlines Embraer 190 plane crashed near Aktau, Kazakhstan, killing 38 of the 67 people on board. The aircraft was en route to Grozny in Russia but was diverted due to fog. It is believed that the plane came under fire from Russian air defense systems as it attempted to land in Chechnya, forcing it to divert across the Caspian Sea. The plane then crash-landed near Aktau, where it caught fire and crashed. Miraculously, 29 people survived.

#5 Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Resigns

In one of the happiest days in Canadian history, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau admitted on January 6 that he is a dumbass, and also he is resigning his post as Prime Minister because nobody likes him. Okay, that may be a paraphrase, but it was something like that.

After talking it over with his kids, (because all great leaders ask their teenage kids for advice), Justin acknowledges that, “This country deserves a real choice in the next election, and it has become clear to me if I am continually fighting internal battles, I cannot be the best option in that election.”

No shit, Sherlock.

The bad news is that the Liberal leadership race may very well be between WEF trustee Chrystia Freeland or WEF stooge Mark Carney, both of whom have far-reaching deep state connections that they can call upon to aid in stuffing their election war chests with ill-gotten money and crank up significant opposition to Conservative political diva, Pierre Poilievre.

Poilievre has already blown his cover with his ingratiating ass kissing of Israel. In April of 2024, Poilievre donned a yarmulke and launched into some Old Testament bible study, and proceeded to slam Hamas, anti-semites and anyone else who dared to point out that murdering innocent civilians is probably evil.

He casually jokes, “I’m just a simple goy from the prairies.” The Jewish cabal like simple goys, so it is a given that it will be business as usual under Poilievre, assuming he is Canada’s next kosher prime minister.

#6 Man Kills 15 People In Car Ramming Incident

A man, identified as Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a 42-year-old US citizen from Texas and a US military veteran, carried out a deadly vehicle-ramming and shooting attack on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, killing at least 14 people and injuring 35 others, including two police officers. The suspect was shot dead by police after exchanging gunfire.

An Islamic State flag was found in his vehicle, leading the FBI to investigate the incident as an act of terrorism. As of the latest reports, the FBI has confirmed that Jabbar acted alone in the attack, and has found evidence of his support for the Islamic State group on social media.

In Conspiracy Land, everything is a psyop until proven otherwise. It seems awfully convenient to have these kinds of text book domestic terrorist attacks in the midst of the United States’ ongoing Global War On The Middle East To Get Control Of All The Oil (GWOTMETGCOATO).

#7 Tesla Explodes Outside Trump Tower

And speaking of psyops, on Wednesday, Elon Musk claimed the Telsa Cybertruck explosion is “likely an act of terrorism,” occurring just hours after a terror attack in New Orleans which left 15 people dead. The $80,000 car, made by Trump’s best friend forever Elon Musk, exploded outside the front doors of the Trump hotel, killing one and injuring seven at around 9 am, according to Las Vegas police.

Musk, who apparently has better Intel than the FBI, revealed the explosion was caused by “a bomb carried in the bed of the rented Cybertruck or very large fireworks.”

“Both this Cybertruck and the F-150 suicide bomb in New Orleans were rented from Turo. Perhaps they are linked in some way.”

Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps.

#8 20 Million Dead and 2.2 Billion Injured From the Jab

An analyst on substack, Peter Halligan has posted:

Global deaths are around 19.5 million SO FAR and global injuries are around 2.2 billion.

Those injuries are likely to develop into “conditions” and then morbidities.

In other words, the death toll will continue to rise as the vaccine injured succumb to their injuries and die young.

The worst crime in human history and still the serial killers are at large, continuing to murder humanity. There is no investigation or major media exposure of this crime.

#9 Trump Signals Mass Deportation

President-(s)elect Donald Trump moves ahead with his mass deportation plans. His incoming border czar Tom Homan revealed that he is looking for a country that will accept deported migrants if their native nation refuses to accept them.

What country will accept millions of illegal immigrants?

Answer: nobody (unless you give them buckets of cash.)

Trump assigned Homan three major tasks: secure the border, conduct a deportation operation, and locate the 300,000 illegal children who were reported missing in the United States.

My suggestion is first check Epstein’s Island, then the White House for the missing kids. Then check the American porn industry.

Homan claims the deportation program will cost $86 billion, a sum proposed by Congress, as a solid foundation for funding the beds and operational expenses required.

#10 Exiled Syrian President Assad Poisoned in Russia

Ousted Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad reportedly survived a poisoning attempt in Moscow, where he has been under Vladimir Putin’s protection since December 2024, after his regime’s fall to HTS rebels. As per reports, Assad fell gravely ill, coughing, choking and experiencing severe pain, with tests confirming exposure to poison.

According to the online Telegram account General SVR, allegedly managed by a former Russian spy:

Assad complained to security guards about indisposition and breathing problems and asked to call for medical help. Almost immediately after the request, he started coughing violently and began choking. Assad was given water and this helped to ease the attack a little, but his breathing still did not return to normal, and headache and abdominal pain were added. By the time the medics arrived, the condition of the former Syria president was deteriorating.

The condition of Bashar al-Assad was promptly reported to representatives of the Russian leadership. While the medics were rendering first aid to Assad, an order was received to treat him at home if possible and not to place the "patient" in a hospital. After the first aid was rendered, the medics received "reinforcements" and a treatment room was set up in Assad's apartment.

As of [the next] evening, according to the attending doctors, Bashar al-Assad's condition is stable and he feels normal. The tests taken from the former Syrian president showed the presence of traces of exposure to poisonous substance in his body.
