The Canadian government website hosts Policy Horizons Canada, a think-tank within the Government of Canada, dedicated to helping the federal government prepare for an uncertain future (that the globalist are planning).
The stink-tank, oops typo, think-tank prepared a report, “Disruptions on the Horizon” that identifies 35 plausible global disruptions that could significantly affect Canadian society and beyond. These disruptions are categorised into five domains: society, economy, environment, politics/geopolitics, and health.
From the report:
Top 10 Disruptions with Highest Likelihood and Impact
People cannot tell what is true and what is not — The information ecosystem is flooded with human- and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-generated content. Mis- and disinformation make it almost impossible to know what is fake or real. It is much harder to know what or who to trust.
Biodiversity is lost and ecosystems collapse — There is an irreversible loss of biodiversity and a collapse of ecosystems due to habitat destruction, over-exploitation, pollution, and climate change.
Emergency response is overwhelmed — Extreme weather events such as fires, floods, tornadoes, and hurricanes are frequent and severe. The world is in a perpetual state of emergency, and unable to respond adequately and sustainably.
Cyber attacks disable critical infrastructure — Interruptions to essential services such as the internet, electricity, transportation, water, and food supply systems are common due to regular cyber attacks, disrupting everyday life.
Billionaires run the world — Extremely wealthy people use their platforms, firms, foundations, and investments to shape public policy—imposing their individual values and beliefs and bypassing democratic governance principles.
Artificial Intelligence runs wild — AI develops rapidly and its usage becomes pervasive. Society cannot keep up, and people do not widely understand where and how it is being used.
Vital natural resources are scarce — The demand for vital natural resources such as water, sand, and critical minerals outpaces supply. Access to resources is either limited by a dwindling finite supply or controlled by a few suppliers.
Downward social mobility is the norm — People cannot enter the housing market and face increasingly insecure work arrangements. Many Canadians find themselves in lower socioeconomic conditions than their parents.
Healthcare systems collapse — The healthcare system breaks down and cannot respond to the daily needs of Canadians, much less to crises.
Democratic systems break down — Authoritarian regimes vastly outnumber democracies and the struggle between the two ideologies is messy in many countries. Some authoritarian countries experience regular pro-democracy protests, while in many democratic countries, duly elected officials pass legislation that dismantles key democratic institutions.
Kristel Van der Elst is the Director General at Policy Horizons Canada, Government of Canada. “With approximately 20 years of experience in forward-looking strategy and policy advisory roles, she has developed expertise in providing insights, resources, and processes to help senior executives and policymakers make informed decisions.”
Prior to her current role, Kristel was the Head of Strategic Foresight at the World Economic Forum. She is CEO of the Global Foresight Group, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, conveniently located a hop, skip and a jump from Der Führer Schwab’s Wolf Lair.
After 36 pages of doom-mongering, Van der Elst tries to cheer us up: “What could the future look like if Canadians cannot meet their basic needs? Or if the healthcare system collapses, democracies break down globally, or cyber attacks regularly disrupt everyday life? What if these disruptions occur at the same time, creating a perfect storm and a unique set of combined circumstances for Canada to face?”
Nice of the WEF sycophant to remind us that “Billionaires run (ruin) the world.”
“As the extremely wealthy increasingly influence public opinion and public policy to secure their own interests, the future of democracy and global governance could be at risk. More billionaires could leverage their control over strategic technologies and enormous wealth concentration to enter arenas formerly reserved for states, such as space exploration and diplomacy. As their power grows, billionaires could gain warfare capabilities and control over natural resources and strategic assets. Some might co-opt national foreign policy or take unilateral diplomatic or military action, destabilizing international relations. This may introduce new uncertainties for governance structures, as private individuals do not have the same decision-making constraints as diplomats, politicians, and military professionals.”
The report drones on in more dystopian terms:
“Downward social mobility is the norm. People cannot enter the housing market and face increasingly insecure work arrangements. Many Canadians find themselves in lower socioeconomic conditions than their parents. With housing becoming increasingly unaffordable and work arrangements more precarious, socioeconomic conditions for Canadians could decline from one generation to the next. People may lose trust in governments’ ability to help them achieve social mobility, especially when it comes to key factors such as housing, education, and the cost of living. Those facing multiple barriers may be even more disadvantaged and have difficulty accessing services. As people lose hope in improving their lives, mental health challenges and associated economic and social stresses may increase. Meanwhile, as the extremely wealthy continue to accumulate a larger share of the wealth, resentment may deepen until calls for greater wealth redistribution reach a critical point.”
The final storm in the lengthy list of possible storms is World War Three. This is happening in real time in the Middle East as Israel is currently bombing 5 countries (and claiming it is the victim.) Meanwhile, half the alternative community are Christian Zionists who will support Israel to their graves, because nothing says “freedom” quite like a massacre of civilians.
“World war breaks out — Tensions between the world's powers escalate as new rivalries, alliances, and blocs emerge. Diminishing trust, the assertion of values, acts of interference, the battle for technological superiority, and the fight over natural resources and supply chains propel great powers into a world war, forcing other countries to pick sides.”
THE HORIZON NETWORK
Canada Horizon Policy is just one wing of the “Horizon” network of scientific think-tanks. The USA has its own Horizon Institute for Public Service, whose mandate is, “Supporting the next generation of public servants with expertise in emerging technologies. We help address the US government’s critical talent shortage in emerging technology by bridging the gap between subject-matter experts and the policy world.”
The Horizon Institute recruits, trains and funds fellows at $125,000 to go work in government and influence the direction of technology in favour of the overlords behind the scenes.
The European Commission drafted and approved a plan for Horizon Europe to raise EU science spending levels by 50% over the years 2021–2027. Horizon Europe is the European Union’s key funding programme for research and innovation, spanning the period 2021-2027 with an indicative budget of €93.5 billion. ($102 billion USD, $140 billion CDN).
Dubai Future Horizons creates video with titles like “Can AI Heal Loneliness?”
It is funded by the Dubai Future Foundation and chaired by the Crown Prince:
He announced on March 4, 2015 plans to establish the Museum of the Future, after its February showcase during the World Government Summit, another WEF spinoff group.
Other Horizon projects include the China Horizon program, which is a three-year research project (2022 - 2025) funded by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe funding program:
Its purpose is discover how they can respond to the resurgent China in ways that best serve Europe’s interests and values.
Upgrading Europe’s independent knowledge on China.
Building a multidisciplinary analytical framework for understanding a multifaceted China under the Xi presidency, this project aims to explain and predict social, political, economic, and foreign policy changes in China.
FUTURE TODAY INSTITUTE
Another WEF-affiliated future-forecasting think tank is Future Today Insititute, whose CEO Amy Webb is a frequent contributor to the WEF, and like all the WEF agents, Webb is an over-achiever with a long list of degrees, awards and memberships, including a lifetime membership at the Council On Foreign Relations.
The Future Today Institute published a whopping 997-page Tech Trends Report 2024. With all the enthusiasm a true Great Reset zealot can muster, Amy Webb gushes in the intro, “We believe we have entered a technology supercycle. This wave of innovation is so potent and pervasive that it promises to reshape the very fabric of our existence, from the intricacies of global supply chains to the minutiae of daily habits, from the corridors of power in global politics to the unspoken norms that govern our social interactions.”
She then proceeds to warn the techno-lizards they need to “seize the reigns of this epochal change” by reading her 979-page tome of techno-splaining, or they’re going to miss out on mountains of cash, and get “swallowed whole.” In the all-or-nothing world of the WEF technocrats, their worst fear is to lose their perch on top of Mount Olympus, and be cast down and forced to live with the mere mortals below.
“The ramifications are stark and undeniable. As this tech supercycle unfurls, there will be victors and vanquished, those who seize the reins of this epochal change, and those who are swallowed whole. For business leaders, investors, and policymakers, understanding this tech supercycle is paramount.”
In an interview with a Canadian Interac company spokesperson, Amy Webb claims Canada is an “incubator for inclusive value” and “collective value growth,” because Canadians “don’t have an ego like our neighbours to the South.”
Translated: Canadians are gullible schmucks who will trade their freedom for some psychotic technology in a heart beat …
In an interview with the Tech Lord himself, that served as input for Schwab’s book The Great Narrative, Amy Webb explains corporations and billionaires need to be flexible and prepare for every possible doom and storm.
Like all the WEF agents, they whine about horrible misinformation and populism wrecking all their beautiful wickedness:
“I’m very concerned about our current vicious attention cycle, which has morphed politics and influenced government leaders and how they govern. That has a trickle-down effect in communities, which then feeds vitriol back into social media, which then fuels attention metrics. It’s horrible. Because of that cycle, we’re in a situation where misinformation is spreading fast and unchecked. There are people who do not believe there is a virus, that vaccines aren’t trustworthy — there are still plenty of people who believe the world is flat.”
Soon, the WEFsters and their trolls will go down like a leaky Titanic in an ocean of icebergs, and just like the Wicked Witch of the West, the end will be swift and severe.
Have a nice day, proles.
This is a Predator Class wish list.
"Canadians are gullible schmucks who will trade their freedom for some psychotic technology in a heart beat …". Can't wait for the ending when the 'polite' and 'nice' Canadians will shed their programming and rise up.
