I'm responding here as the comments are closed over on Rurik's substack.
Part 1: A good discussion and a lot to consider and unpack (although the two of you are not in agreement on some issues it helps listeners to clarify some of their own positions on the points of disagreement), but I will focus on my own research area with regards to my comments/responses as I believe we should all bring something to the table from within the area/s we specialise in, or have knowledge or experience in. That is our role during these transition times from one era to a next.
There is a cycle and obviously the elites would know about it. If we keep ourselves out of the loop, how can we really know what's going on? Citizens are out of the loop because 99% of them simply reject the notion of cycles governing the world (due to rationalism and materialism) and write it off as superstition - or worse - as some in the 'alt-sphere' have done.
Thereby the ignorance is perpetuated even further, i.e. consciousness is further lowered at the end of the cycle instead of raised - having knowledge of cycles raises one's consciousnesses as it opens up a new paradigm of understanding unfolding events. This requires literally a shift in thinking from linear thinking to cyclic thinking.
Of course, one can take a horse to the water, but cannot force it to drink. If we want to catch-up the only option would be to study the cycles for ourselves. People need to make a wilful decision to open their minds to the subject. This can be done from a number of angles (the more the better for a more comprehensive view) - see for example the works of Pitirim Sorokin (Crisis of Our Age) and Julius Evola (Ride the Tiger).
Again, study is required for adaption to non-linear thinking, in other words considerable effort is needed on the part of an individual to make the transition into a new paradigm of cyclic understanding from a paradigm of linear understanding.
When does the cycle end? Some have put it at 2025 (Bibhu Dev Misra), while others have put it at 2030 (René Guénon) :
My own analysis shows 2027 to 2032, so there's broad agreement (from different perspectives) that we are presently in The End Times of a large cycle, after which there will naturally follow A New Cycle (disagreement exists on which cycle is ending - my research shows it's the Precessional Cycle, not Kali Yuga).
I've approached the subject by studying the ancient calendar systems of the Mesoamericans and Vedics and have done considerable legwork to bring these concepts to lay-people and have made a free-to- download e-book available with extensive timelines and with some deeper interpretations of what our role/s are/should be during these times:
My personal view is that we are genuinely in the 'end times' (which are not only the Biblical End Times), this is where our focus should be, because everything is presently unfolding within this context.
Thank you for your interesting comments. There is another author can’t remember his name who says all empires last approximately 250 years and that would put United States dead on target to be expiring.
On your other topic about the end times, I think we are always at the beginning of times. There may be transition from one era or cycle to another but Christianity’s notions of the end of times are apocalyptic, nihilistic, and ultimately, they are leading the world into another world war with their delusions of grandeur in the Middle East.
Yes, I think there's a general consensus on 250 years being more or less the duration of an empire, although there are also many exceptions to the rule.
As to your second point - thanks for raising it, because it's an issue that needs to be clarified. Let's consider this question: If Biblical prophecies or timelines of end-time events (according to the Bible) are being used as a script by the elites/globalists for the Great Reset, as Rurik and yourself agrees on (at this time many in the alt-sphere believe this is the case), does that make a difference to the fact that the prophecy is still unfolding more or less as predicted/prophesied? The point being that the prophecy is self-fulfilling regardless of whether there are people who are consciously making it fit a certain script, or not - it still unfolds as prophesied. So, the prophets of more than a century ago were not incorrect. Another way of putting it would be that it's unlikely that a Biblical-style end-times scenario can be (entirely) avoided, because very many Prophets have foreseen events that loosely fit the Biblical end-times scenario - meaning that there's at least some predestination involved in the (ending of) cycles. The best we can do is hope for (and work towards) that the prophecies unfold in milder ways than predicted.
I know this is a hard pill to swallow for many, but it's an inevitable conclusion after years of studying the subject - selected prophets are given divine insights of future events on future timelines in order to warn humanity. One has to study prophecies from a variety of sources to come to this ultimate conclusion - as I have.
I can't really elaborate more, except to say that once you understand the concept of cycles very well, you also come to understand that every cycle has 'opening scenes' and 'closing scenes' and the Biblical End Times scenario broadly fits the closing scenes, but it's very important to look at it from various perspectives. What do the 'closing scenes' of the cycle look like in the mythology of ancient cultures such as the Mayas? Also, how do the the end times scenario differ from the Christian one from the perspective of other Abrahamic religions?
I'm not expecting you to take on anything I'm saying, but hopefully I'm motivating some out-of-the box thinking on these matters. Most of the debates in the alt-sphere have stagnated and are just recycling stuff already known. Even this debate between yourself and Rurik didn't contain that much new, although it was interesting.
Syria has just fallen - what did the prophets say would happen after Syria falls? This is what should be explored right now. Regardless of whether events are scripted or not - they are unfolding at least to an extent to how prophecies have indicated they would and considering this trend, it's likely to continue, so it would only make sense to actually look at what might happen next.
End times prophecies of all three Abrahamic religions are a giant can of worms, though I posted a recent article on the subject, you may find interesting. The greatest error of Christian end times prophecy hinges on statements made by Jesus of Nazareth in Matthew 24 concerning the fall of Jerusalem, which occurred in 70 AD when Titus sacked Jerusalem … in other words, the prophecy is expired. Christians have vainly attempted to glue the various prophecies in Daniel, Ezekiel, Matthew and Revelation into some kind of comprehensive whole but these prophecies are a mixed bag of Zionism, the chosen people syndrome, Jewish racial pride, American nationalism and nihilism that goes back to Zoroaster’s influence on Judaism after Cyrus freed the Israelites from the Babylonians.
Yes, I agree with this point - that the prophecy has expired, nevertheless they believe it hasn't, which is motivational factor for them. On the other hand the Islamic prophecies have their own outcomes that they also fully believe in. The result being that we are still being taken through the motions of the Abrahamic religions' end-times scenario/s with the conflicting sides lining up more or less as predicted according to their belief systems.
I take a very broad view of all of this my focus is more on what will follow, which is what we should really focus upon. Right now we are looking at a Tower of Babel scenario. Mass centralisation reaches a zero-point after which disintegration, decentralisation and dispersion inevitable follows - this is most likely the future we are looking post-2030 going forward. I'll write in detail how I have come to that conclusion in my next chapter/essay.
My thoughts are that we will have a distorted version of SOME of the Abrahamic prophecies, but not all will be fulfilled. Secondly, there will unintended negative consequences--what those will be is anybody's guess, but it would be naive to think the Great Reset agenda could slide through without massive global resistance.
I hate to say it, but your bleak vision of the future is just as nihilistic as the rest, with your thesis that "Mass centralisation reaches a zero-point after which disintegration, decentralisation and dispersion inevitable follows."
How about this scenario: The globalists continue their restructuring of all aspects of the political, economic and social life on planet Earth. BUT the people rise up and turn the globalists' technocratic, authoritarian global governance model into a democratic world government where all nations are given equal footing, (ie, no veto power or UNSC) and freedom of rights are guaranteed globally. There is no reason to conclude that any global system of government is inherently bad. The Westphalian nation-state system is no more or less sacred than the ancient City-State system, feudalism, monarchy or parliamentary system.
The system isn't the problem, the people running the system are the problem. And the global ideology that props up these people is the problem. Change the system managers and change the system ideology and things will improve dramatically. That's my 2 cents anyway, thank you for your thoughts.
I agree that not all will be fulfilled, but some might be partially fulfilled - time will tell and we are all front-row-seat observers in the unfolding of events.
I'm not convinced there will be massive public resistance in general - to the contrary - my experience tells me the majority of people will gladly accept and participate in globalist plans. The massive resistance will only come once people's comfort zones are severely negatively affected due to a major economic downturn, which is why the global economy is propped up at all costs via the new "green economy" and other initiatives (such as war economies, as seems to be the case in Europe).
Whether a global economy is inherently good or bad is open for debate (and it's a whole debate on its own), but what I'm speaking about is cyclic phenomena on the one hand (the Tower of Babel was nearing completion, but a shift occurred from centralisation to decentralisation and its development was interrupted...) and on the other hand I'm speaking about energy realities - the world has been on an oil discovery and production plateau since 2018 and our civilisation is built on the basis of having constant access to cheap fossil fuels.
There's going to be a global economic contraction as a result of peak-oil. One of the biggest blind-spots in alt-media is this factor and few want to engage with it. It's exactly blind-spots like this that's soon going to result in much of the alt-sphere ceasing to be relevant as real-world events take over ... I would rather be a realist than a utopianist or a fantasist - that way I can plan better. If you read my work you will discover that I'm actually very positive while also being realistic, but a certain type of mindset will be required to experience events positively.
Ironically it's an area I spend less attention on purely because it feeds into the fear-factor of recurring cycles rather than the positive aspects of them. If we recall the lead-up to the end of the Mayan Long Count Calendar in 2012 and how the entire thing was commercialised (Hollywood-ised) around the theme of looming earth changes and catastrophes. Whereas the consciousnesses-related, spiritual aspects revolving around conscious human development were neglected or ignored. (This was the initial reason why I got into taking a deep-dive into the cycles, to try an 'correct/rectify' this one-sided/warped approach to the study of cycles). [Which is not to say I don't also enjoy reading about them - for example Emmanuel Velikofsky's books about ancient catastrophic events really triggers one's imagination, but I think much of it's highly speculative nonetheless]
It being a highly speculative area (the catastrophe side) as it's difficult to put definitive timelines to when 'catastrophe seasons' or catastrophic events would take place. Many prophecies speak of them, but the subject tends to get condensed (as if everything is happening all at the same time), while in reality catastrophes are always happening, for example the massive earthquakes in Turkey and Syria just 2/3 years ago. During a catastrophe season there's just more of them than usual, I would posit.
Having said all of the above there is a 12,000-year catastrophe cycle that we are most likely in the process of entering at this time (and a comet returning that could wreak havoc on the planet), but I personally avoid going to deep down this rabbit-hole as it would divert my attention and research away from the other aspects of cyclic phenomena, which is primarily about how the segments of cycles (ages, short and long) affect human behaviour/s and social events as well as historical events. I'll leave the catastrophism up to the numerous people who are into the subject as well as into UFO's etc which is another area I generally avoid.
In a (real) sense all cycles are of course cosmic - as in divine (although many would deny that) - in the sense that cycles exist as a result of intelligent design (some would deny this too), hence we don't live in a linear world, but a non-linear, multi-dimensional, cyclic one.
If you are keen on discussing any of the metaphysical energy-related or psychology-related aspects of the cycles, just let me know. A couple of example of what I'm speaking about in terms of cyclic shifts that alter human consciousness:
(How our consciousness is incrementally affected by cycles being either in material or spiritual phases and/or a combination thereof)
Just as an ending note - we are presently in a Prophetic Season at the end of a Great Cycle, so many of the catastrophic events prophesied might indeed start to unfold - I will publish something about that in a month or two - still working on it.
Just an added note to be clear, I believe one should not read too much into prophecies in terms of taking everything predicted in them too literally, much of it is meant to be symbolic (when taking a depth-psychology, Jungian approach to the interpretations of the subject matter - i.e. the real catastrophes are happening inside of us and within our societies).
[Additionally, to elaborate even further: While we concentrate on and project outwards onto the external catastrophes we are meant to rather focus on the internal ones, e.g. collapses of values, morals, ethics within peoples and nations - these internal catastrophes then lead to external ones; unbridled wars, genocides, etc. Hence, by resolving the internal catastrophes we may reduce/limit the external ones.]
The nature of a liminal period is that it would overlap with the ending of an old cycle and the beginning of a new cycle. That would mean that neither the rules of the old framework, nor the rules of the new framework would fully apply, and everybody would therefore find themselves in a kind of no-man’s-land during that time.
Liminal periods are typified by having a mostly upside-down, structure of reality (on this point see for example the works of anthropologists, Arnold van Gennep [6] and Victor Turner [7]). Simply put, during liminality many things become inverted and they function in a manner that’s contrary to their normal structures and behaviors.
Liminality is always a temporary phenomenon, but it can be very challenging because a regular feature of it is that dark archetypes tend to appear during liminal periods. They would attempt to misdirect the overall transition for their own gain. The Pattern of History and Fate of Humanity by Peter McLoughlin
Synopsis: 'In "The Pattern of History," Peter McLoughlin delves deep into the relentless cycles of power and conflict that shape our world. As humanity teeters on the brink of another global crisis, McLoughlin offers a profound exploration of historical patterns that predict the inevitable struggles of nations. From the collapse of empires to the looming threat of nuclear war, this thought-provoking book examines how the quest for power drives humanity towards its most feared outcomes.'
Except from the book:
"All wars are fought over power. Manifested as interest, power has been present in every conflict in history and is the true motivation of rivals. It cuts across all apparently unifying principles: family, kin, nation, religion, ideology, politics – everything. We unite with the enemies of our principles, because that is what serves our interests."
